Welcome to the plank.
I’m sure most are familiar with the coined phrase “walk the plank” from any pirate show.  Well I wanted to give that phrase a little twist and apply it to walking the straight and narrow path of life in Christ from the scripture (Matt. 7:13-14).
One of my favorite radical moments in history is from Mark 1:15 and Jesus came saying the time is fulfilled and the Kingdom has drawn near: you must continually repent and believe in the Good News. (One New Man Version)  Wow you can almost hear the “Rrrrrr” in his voice with this ultimatum.  Jesus draws the line in the sand and declares that this is the way things have been done under the old dispensation, but times up; now this is the way things are going to be.  He declared war on every dominion and power and they had to bow the knee.

So, what does that mean to us?  I’m glad you asked.  At this point in scripture, Father has sent Jesus to set the stage to bring the “lost boys” home; however, in order to follow Him, there needs to be a change in thinking and a new set of instructions understood in order to completely receive the power of this grace.

I started this blog to explore this more fully and it would be great to hear from you as well on this and/or any other subject.  I can’t wait let’s get started, I’ll see you on the plank!
